Our Vision
Our Vision
From widely accessible AI chatbots to new innovations in healthcare and defense technology, artificial Intelligence is already transforming the way we live and work. As these technologies continue to evolve, it is essential that policymakers and stakeholders understand the foundations of AI, consider potential impacts, and promote responsible innovation and deployment.
BPC launched the AI 101 Initiative to equip policymakers and their staff with foundational resources and knowledge to boost AI literacy. Our curriculum is constantly evolving to respond to the needs of congressional staff, including resources to demystify AI, define key terms, and highlight real-world applications. Through workshops, live demonstrations, expert panels, and other educational resources, AI 101 empowers public servants to better understand AI and responsibly shape its role in society.
AI 101 is made possible through support from Google, our founding sponsor, and developed with invaluable feedback and ongoing guidance from our partners at the Carnegie Mellon University Block Center for Technology and Society and the Princeton University Center for Information Technology Policy.
